My last Tacoma had 255,000, I would have driven that across the United States without any worries, very reliable, but I would talk them down a little bit at least 2K

Recieved the Carfax and has been in one minor accident but has records of everything up until about 20,000 miles ago. Oil changed every 5,000 and has had the transmission serviced and several suspension parts replaced

My 2010 Prerunner is a 4-cylinder, 5 speed manual with 160k and has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. I don't off road so the 4x4 is not necessary for me and I get 21 MPG all the time. It would be helpful if you can run a Carfax to see how many owners there have been. If there is a lot then I might move on but I think the price is fine for that truck if it is in good condition. Best of luck!

Thanks man! Just posted the Carfax has been maintained well and is a 2 owner but the 1st owner had it most it's life. That's exactly what I'm looking for is a dependable truck that gets decent gas mileage. Whether it's this one or not I definitely think it's going to be a Tacoma

I could see coming up to 12 or so if it really is clean underneath. How about getting a pre-sale inspection at a nearby shop?

Went and drove it tonight seemed great to me the transmission was a little different but was solid and from what I read these automatics are a little clunky so not sure if that's something I should worry about or not

Man Tacoma's hold their value. An '09 with 170k miles for $13,000?? If there's only been two owners and there is history of it being maintained, I'd say $11,500 - $12,000 is a fair offer for that.

Clunky? My 08 has 150,000 and the transmission has always been smooth. Just had OTT and it is smoother still. Good luck in your search. If this one doesn't work out there's a better one out there. When I was looking I had to expand my search to surrounding states. It paid off.

    Just some stuff...
I've got an 08 with 131k on it. 42 of it in the last 2 years. No clunky tranny here either. If that tranny seems questionable to you and you still want it make sure you take it to a reliable mechanic first. Tranny work ain't cheap.

My 05 is a great truck but it shifts like a blind guy with no cane. To be fair, I'm not really a drive by wire fan.
