This just happened today, the alarm keeps going off every time the truck started. took the truck to the dealership the same day, with the alarm still running for about 30 seconds, then it stoped. The mechanic popped open the bottom left steering wheel panel, and pushed back some wires. And it seemed to work. But can anybody explain what had happened?

Sounds like you had a dealer installed alarm that they forgot to disable. Stock OEM Tacoma alarms won't do that.

respectfully?? I would be asking the dealer that worked on it. It's okay to ask for not only an explanation of repairs, but if any aftermarket items were installed.
When you say "pushed back some wires" did he actually diagnose and repair anything, or was he simply jiggling wires around to get it to stop? If the latter, I would expect more issues.

I didn't schedule an appointment. I just drove to the service center and told them what had happened. I guess he said it might be a losse or faulty sensor,. But I made an appointment to really figure out what's going on. By the way my truck is a 2022 trd sport 4x4 tacoma.

Call them up and ask them why it happened and what they did to fix it....

defiantly ask for an explanation, or they might just keep jiggling wires. Again, ask if there was any aftermarket equipment added.
