Soooo who has recommendations for pallet forks? The Kioti has the quick attach for the bucket so Ive been debating going with a stand alone pallet fork setup vs just getting the forks that "clamp" to the bucket.

I can see pluses and minus for both setups. Both setups are rated for more than the loader can lift and most of the "lifting" to be done is well under 750lbs. Wouldnt be something I would use often......course i say that but we all know how that goes.

Get quick attach, you'll love them vs. being somewhat happy with clamp on.

Whatever you do, stay away from the clamp on units. You can't see what you are spearing.

Thats the way im leaning. Cost difference isnt THAT much either.

Interesting...hadnt considered that but makes sense for anything off the ground (ie back of pickup or off a flatbed)

I have clamp ons and built a thing to clamp them on using a quick attach blank plate and substantial piece of steel. So I don't have to use the bucket if I don't need to

Finally got around to rebuilding a small engine muffler.

The guts to this one where completely blown out. The thing sounded like a Harley Davidson that needs the carbs adjusted.

    Pics to come.

Started by making a new perferated transfer/tail pipe. I just drilled a bunch of 1/4" holes.

After that I was able to start stuffing the muffler with packing. I used stainless steel pot scrubbers.PXL_20221118_173123259.jpg PXL_20221118_173224818.jpg

Welded in the end caps as welded in the tail pipe.

Pretty thin stuff. I was happy if I could carry a 1" bead. I think it looks pretty good for using a 240 volt mig machine.

After test running, I am super happy. It's quieter than a brand new muffler.

Who knows how long it will last.

These mufflers are around $140 for the Chinese versions and way north of 2 bills if you pony up for the Kohler part.

I bought one of the quick attach plates from Titan and welded up the rest to hold a set of used forks. If you had to buy a set of used forks, at least around my area $4-500 would get you the forks. The quick attach plate is $1-200 depending on size. Need to fabricate a few parts, but nothing fancy.

Very happy with their part and they have sales pretty regular. You may want to pick something out and watch it for a bit if not in a hurry.

ive thought of the DIY route, but its a cost thing again. Its a bit funny as we are a huge farming community so you'd think there would be a ton of used stuff but there really isnt. And what is out there is 2+ hours away. So its a sort of time is money thing lol

I bought the Skid Steer QA forks off Amazon, and I do recommend them. I use them all the time, probably more than I use the bucket. But the prices have gone up considerably. I paid $535, four years ago; they're almost double that now. You might look about for a used set locally; maybe if you have farm or consignment auctions in your area would be a good place to look. I sometimes see them at my area auctions.

    Just a friendly PSA...

Don't leave 87 octane 10% ethanol gas in your snow blower from December till the following November and forget to turn off the gas cock...

Drained and filled with treated 90 octane ethanol free and after some struggle it fired up and ran just fine. China carb lives on another day...

You might try running some Seafoam through it to clean out any buildup on the inner parts.

It cleared up in a minute luckily. Despite a bad camshaft, it still runs pretty decent

I'm not sure about that Sea Foam.

I've soaked varnished up parts in it for a week. I noticed no real dissolving of the varnish.

Do you need it to be mixed with unicorn farts for it to work proper?
