I wouldn't get too picky on dealer/factory options - get the truck with w/e it has, and then mod after. Every single thing the dealer offers is easy to put on yourself, and often times has better AM options. A lot of takeoff predator steps float around here for cheap, and the TRD lift kit is just bilsteins with a block in the rear, you can get the same as well as much better for much cheaper AM, don't get concerned about the "warranty" BS, in the unlikely case you have a claim, it would only affect suspension and that's the easiest to deal with by far DIY.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
A manual access cab is actual a pretty rare configuration. Potentially rarer then a PRO depending on what color you pick. I'd follow others advise and be willing to travel. Your local dealer is more likely to get a solar octane PRO then a lunar rock access cab with a MT

Off of topic, but I managed to fish the last coins out of my 07 access cab MT CD player yesterday. My now 11 year old son shoved them in it when he was a baby. We loaded it up with CDs and it works again! Almost exactly 10 years later.

Yeah. I'm focused on the main components--AC 6MT w/"TRD Premium Sport Package (Access Cab M/T) with options" so I get the heated seats. The rest can wait.

I'm trying to get less specific as I revise the build sheet. The "AC 6MT" part is hard enough to find.

I have a 2019 and LOVE it! I just put on Bilsteins, did some trimming including a CMC and have it sitting on 285/70/17 tires with -10 offset wheels. It drives great. Still gets 20 MPG on the highway (I'm a pretty conservative driver) and does great offroad. Just be prepared to travel to get what you want!

Go to cars.com and car gurus and look for the truck you want. Or hit up every dealership close to you and tell them what you want. Whoever wants your business will work with you.

Yep. The first thing I did was fire up my cars.com and car gurus apps and create new filters. Most of the local dealers appear to be duds. At least I can cross those off the list.

Not that I'm a fan of Jeep, but if the Tacoma I just bought didn't have the 6MT option, I would probably have opted for a Jeep Gladiator; it can be had with both a 6MT and a V6.

They're still available in 6MT for Access Cabs. You have to build the TRD Sport trim in order to get 6MT Access Cab.

i would tell you play caution with lift and warranties. if you just put a lift kit you probably fine but if you start putting bigger tires, whoever has the warranty can deny any suspension, differential, transfer case, transmission or engine claim due to the stress cause by the oversize tires.

i work at an extended warranty and we tell the customer they don't qualify for the ( you don't pay shit contract) and we offer a different deal. and when i bought my taco early this year i got a extender warranty offered by the dealer is basically the same deal we offer.

My revised worksheet excludes all accessories. It does include the $2,510 "TRD Premium Sport Package (Access Cab M/T) with options" because I want the heated seats for my wife and the good lights. So at this point my filtering is less specific. I would like to avoid a couple of colors, but beyond that, I don't care.

I have several inquiries in around the country and am in most cases still awaiting t̶h̶e̶ ̶r̶u̶n̶a̶r̶o̶u̶n̶d̶ replies.

I did not have too hard of time finding my 22 AC MT Sport. I had to wait a month last december but the dealer was surprised that I even wanted one. He acted like no one wanted one and said they tend to sit on the lot a little longer. My only choice was white tho... Like Horseshoez I would have dropped on the Gladiator. Glad the Taco's still have the MT cuz Jeep has pretty garbage reliability imho and are a lot more $.

AC 6MT V6 4x4s are sold as soon as they are listed, and I managed to secure one for early next year.

    I do have a line on a well-optioned 2022 for anyone interested.

Your truck is wonderful. Love the AG, if Lunar Rock wasn’t available I would’ve jumped on that for sure. Nice grille too.

Love my 2020 AC OR 6MT. Had to look around for a while before I found it sitting on a Jeep dealer's lot. They said they bought it at auction from up near Detroit. Truck came from Canada. It even has the digital HVAC controls with the cloth heated seats...no leather. Also in a color hardly ever seen around my neck of the woods. Keep looking if you don't have one locked down yet. I wouldn't trust a dealer to get you one either. They just can't order one for you.

Just out of curiosity, what does your company consider "oversized"? Is it anything other than the OEM size or do you have to go to a certain size before people start dinging you for it? So, for example, if I just put 265/70R17s on my truck which is supposed to be 265/65R17, would your company deny my claim?
