I just picked up a beautiful 2014 Tacoma TRD - is see a lot of aftermarket radio replacements out there that look awesome, however Im not ready to do that mod. Is there any way to update the software on this radio - I also see there is no maintenance app on there - is there any way to do that and set it up for oil changes etc.

Just so you know I have done quite a bit of searching and watching youtube videos but cant seem to nail down a solid answer to my questions.

    Thanks!

The only radio that supports maintenance reminders is the one with navigation, there is only one software update that I know of for the radio and that's to fix an issue with it randomly restarting and some bluetooth problems.
You can upgrade to the nav radio (I put one in mine) if you can find one at a decent price but even used they aren't cheap.

The truck has a built in oil change reminder in the instrument cluster that flashes the Maint Required light at 4500 mi and turns it on steady at 5k after it is reset.
