After a bit of a hiatus from here, I’m back! Took some time to save some money (only way I knew how to was distance myself from here ), the wife and I started our own business and now the taco has become a work truck. Anyways have done a few little mods here and there still.

Meso puddle lights with the switch, makes the truck look fancy now.



Picked up a new used 2lo mod with visor card and ordered up a switch to match



Also saw a member make up a very nice brake controller mount and offered them up to members, I used it as an excuse to put a redarc controller in the truck! This is in anticipation to us picking up a travel trailer along with pulling trailers for our work.


And finally to bring us up to speed, stepped back down to a 265/70 from the 255/80’s. I dont like the LT tires on these trucks at all, way too stiff. Along with going to a c load I’m hoping I pick up some fuel mileage from shedding around 40lbs of rotating mass.

Then the truck got a thorough cleaning and fresh graphene coating.

We bought a camper, the truck pulls it great! Not the fastest thing, but slow and steady we will get there!

 

Been a bit time for an update. First off, we’ve been camping a few times and I’m very impressed with how the truck handles the camper!



Invested in a set or Morimoto XB’s, love them! Wish I had the ambers but white works


I finally drank the coolaid and put a set of raptor lights in. I don’t think they look bad


I picked up a molle back wall panel with packout mounts (I’m a Milwaukee fanboy)

 

With the back panel getting rid of the factory plastic it introduced a bit more noise into the cab then I wanted, so I started down the sound deadening rabbit hole. I’d like to eventually pull the carpet and add some on the floor along with the roof. But for now I’m happy.




Picked up a home link mirror off of here, makes me much happier to have “integrated” options



On the last camping trip we took a drive on the parkway to see the leaves changing colors, along with a few Forrest road rides.

 

Swapped the rear 5125’s to some 8100’s they are a bit shorter so while changing the rxts to stage 2 I measured how much I can mover the lower shock mount up. Looks like if I move the mount 2” I’ll have the same down travel that the 5125’s had, going to also change the lower shock bolt orientation as to give it less binding while drooped.

 

Ordered up a smart cap luckily one of the dealers on here had a few instock. The wait was killer even though it showed up a day earlier than expected.


Took the family out wheelin to Uwharrie National Forrest and had a great time. Found out that I rub with 265’s aired down so I guess I need to take car of that.
