    Hey guys,

I ended up buying one of those 12 volt.solutions auto start kits as I’ve had my eye on one for a while. Got it, wired everything in, now I’m at the module programming step. The instructions say to hold the button as you plug the large harness in and that after a few seconds, there are red lights that should flash. This is not happening for me. Anyone else encounter this and get it resolved?

I attempted calling them during business hours multiple times and just got there automated message.

Update: Beginning to think the kit they sent me is bad, I've verified everything is fully plugged in and good to go and still I get nothing out of the module.

I installed one from 12 volt solutions on our Rav4. It worked for about a year, then the module died. Like you I tried to contact 12 volt solutions (when I was trouble shooting it) and I didn't get a response from them. The module had lights but no matter what I did I couldn't get it to reprogram. I decided to just pull it and all the wiring and live without it. I can tell you I wouldn't buy one of their products again.

Ive been happy with 12v solutions. My brother and I both have one on our tacomas for over a year now mostly issue free and my dads tundra for almost 2 years now. My brothers original kit we received a faulty module that wouldn't program but they had good customer service and fixed the issue quickly. Try disconnecting the battery from the truck and try again after a minute or two. That worked for me setting up mine initially.

When I received mine for a 2011 had same thing happen. Try emailing them, that’s how I received a call back. They ended up having to send me an additional wire connection. I think it connected to maybe the brake-line, don’t remember, but they immediately sent out the part to me and has worked perfectly since.

My kit already came with that connection(instructions state it as an optional one as not everyone needs it), I tried it out and it still didn’t work. I’m planning to return it and buy the accessorides one. Didn’t realize they made a plug and play one also, and they come with full remotes rather than the single button press that the 12volt one has. Would much rather have a full remote.

I'm glad don't buy 12volt remote starter.... I use MPC remote starter on 2015 tacoma 6speed and my seinna, no problem at all easy installation plug and play, plus it use FOB remote so no extra key. The best part is they tech support really quick response if you have trouble.
