If you plan on off-roading, RCI makes skidplates and an optional / additional purchase that helps protect the cats.

Watched the video too.. it’s just a deterrent . Wonder how long will that rubber plug last due to heat and vibration . A lot cheaper though . It still works as designed. It’s better than nothing in there . Btw I love the talon cat shield. Better deterrent and acts as a mild skid plate too . A perfect match if you have the trd aluminum skid up front . Just don’t do rock crawling .

    Did it myself.

Was about a 30/40 minute job. Probably could be done faster but I was in no rush.

mine was two plates, transmission and transfer case plates on my tundra

Made this one out of a piece of "scrap" 1/8" 316 stainless I had found in the shop. I have a CBI steel skid plate up front. So far I'm happy with it.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
I went RCI, they are great. But you will need the transfer skid plate as well.

Be careful with that. It looks like a Prarie fire waiting 2 happen, once your tub fills with grass and mud.

Mild skid plate?:p Our front and transmission plates for the tacoma share a lot of the same design features as on the bronco, and we beat those up recently! :p
