wiring LC2i - (piggybacking 12v/ground to amp)

so i wired an LC2i to my stock head unit. i have the LOC mounted next to the amp. is it bad or frowned upon to piggyback the power and ground from the amp like so? should i use a distribution block for either? thanks

i included picture. the long wires are just so i can work on it. will button up the loose ends later. just want to test it.

 

Ideal you would have a distribution block, but there aren’t too many available with a 4awg AND 16awg input. Keep everything meat and secure and you’ll be fine.

Always remember, Loose wires start fires

does that seat close with the wiring so close to the edge?

 

i actually mounted the amp and LOC to the back cubby i just had to remove it to work on it. and yes even the 4awg wire fits behind the seat(while closed) and still is not being pinched

was tempted to cut a hole in the cubby and run the wires that way, but i figured if the wires arent being pinched then why bother.

 

the only concern i had was the amp fuse is way over-rated for the lc2i. but you've already covered that by using an inline fuse from the amp wiring to the lc2i.
