I had the clutch pedal replaced per the TSB.

Clutch actually feels great however to start the truck I now have to mash the clutch to the floor. Seriously the clutch will be all the way to the floor and the ignition wont turn but if I give the pedal an even harder press "into" the floor the key will turn.

For anyone that's had the pedal replaced- does this go away over time, or should I take it back to the dealer to be adjusted.

    Thanks in advance.

There are limit switches on each end of the travel. It sounds like one is out of adjustment. There's instructions to adjust it in the SM linked in my signature. Otherwise, off to the dealer.

Don’t you have the clutch start switch to the left of your steering wheel?

Sport doesn't have clutch cancel. It's an Off Road feature only.

I stand corrected. On the 2nd Gens I thought only the OR had that feature. I’ll show myself to the door.

I beg to differ. My 2020 sport manual AC has a clutch start cancel button. Also has hill assist braking!

Do you have extra floor mats that have gotten under the clutch pedal? Try pulling all the mats out and see if it makes a difference.

Had my squeaky clutch pedal replaced at about 3k miles. Been great ever since, no complaints. Surprisingly the squeak did not come beck.

    Just FYI,

My 2019 was bought as CPO(certified pre-owned), had the squeaky clutch for a while, but I let it slip through pass 36k miles(at 39k now).

I took it to dealer they said nope, the CPO program doesn't cover this TSB as stated on the TSB only for 3y/36k.

I called Toyota Brand Engagement one Monday, requested to open a case for Goodwill repair. The rep asked if I would accept partial payment for the repair, I said yes. I was told someone would contact me in a day or two with the final decision.

I got a call on Wednesday to inform me that full payment for the repair had been authorized by Toyota corporate. All I had to do is to make appointment with the dealer.

    Hey InThePlains-

Thats great info to pass on.
I bought my truck used and it was already past the 3 years when bought it and obviously when I took it in. They gave me a hard time about it as well but I had bought an extended warranty- when I pointed that out the dealer still had to reach out to corporate to see if it was covered- fortunately it was- but after your post who knows if they did it due to my warranty or similar to your scenario-

    Good looks out!
