I'm considering putting Christmas string lights on my truck to show some holiday spirit. Nothing crazy, just gonna hook them up to an inverter in the cab (not the bed, mine is an SR5) and run them around the bed and possibly somewhere on the hood. I'm just not sure where to run them from inside the cab to outside, as well as how to attach them to stay in place on the truck. My truck is basically stock other than a soft tonneau cover, so I don't have much in the way of bed or roof racks to tether them. Any tips?

Plastic gutter hooks and maybe some squares cut out of self adhesive foam weatherstripping.

What I've done in the past is get those fairy string lights that run off of a few AA batteries. Easier to secure because the strand is so lightweight and no need to route cables into the cab. Plus then you can have them on while parked if you wanted.

That eliminates my concern of having to crack a window during winter, thank you! The ability to have them on without the truck is a great plus too
