Lol, yeah, I still have my cheapo rubber ones in the taco, they’re okay, work fine. I’ll probably leave them

I had the same finding. Very easy install. My 2017 was built to accommodate the front bed rail. Bolted right up.

Picked up a full size spare last week along with a Wilco bed rail spare mount for inside the camper shell. Also taking a look at the black friday sales for a bumper

That’s the only downside, they don’t protect from morons….unless they’re driving a slammed 90’s civic. I’m used to parking away from everyone anyhow.

Oooh, yeah that might be worth it. Behind that head unit, its a jumbled mess of wires, one more couldn't hurt!

There are some features that I do miss. Maintenance tracking, fuel economy data, and I'm sure there are others that I'm not remembering at the moment. If I could use Android Auto with the Entune, I probably wouldn't have swapped it. The quality of life is worth it though, IMO!

I thought there was an interface with the OBDII?

I believe @ClassyTacos has an install vid where he color matches his TC Bed Stiffeners. Also strongly consider replacing the top factory bolt when you do you install. Even with tons of people warning of its weakness, and torquing it to spec, I still manged to snap if off when adjusting it later on. The replacement hardware I found/used is longer, 30mm vs 20mm, but there is nothing behind it to interfere with the slightly longer bolt.

    Good Luck.

I'm not familiar with that. There could be but I'm not finding any information regarding it. Do you have a link where I could read up on it more?

Rather than pay hundreds for a TRD skid plate, I took the OE one down, cleaned it, and painted it myself...

Stuffed a 315/70R17 into the spare tire mount. Might rub a little on the diff. Used a tie down to pull it towards the bumper
