    Hi!
I just had a job be postponed until tomorrow and I was wondering if you all think I’m okay to leave the load in the back of the truck for a second night? I was hoping to unload everything this morning but plans have changed. 50pcs @ 5/4x6x10’ lumber plus about 200lbs of tools in the truck/with the saw.
    Cheers!

Doesn't look like it's squatting much, I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

If it's just sitting what's the big deal? Driving 300miles like that might be a different story :)

I'd be more worried about leaving tools exposed in the bed than the weight.

Glad to hear that the weight will be fine

I don’t do it too often, I usually use the trailer for stuff like this to minimize wear and tear on the truck but I don’t have the trailer right now

As for the tools, those have been brought inside the shop! Haha

You can also use a jack and lift it from the hitch it will take off the weight from the leaf springs.

If it ain’t on the bump stops, it’s fine:D

Seriously, I wouldn’t worry about it.
That doesn’t look bad at all.

I consider anything not bolted down, locked up, welded on subject to be disappeared.

Do you live in a 1950s sitcom? If I left stuff like that in my truck anywhere in the bay area, it would be gone in an hour.

Amazon has left boxes on my porch for an entire week when I was on vacation, and nobody messed with it. I was surprised. I'm totally in a little Mayberry neighborhood that's somehow in the middle of the city. Kids play in the street and go home when the streetlights come on. It's quiet at night. Neighbors that I almost never talk to will occasionally send a plate of cookies out of the blue. When I look at the crime map, this block is absent of any dots, at least until you go 1/4 mile in any direction. Then it's a lot of dots. We are the Bermuda triangle of crime - it just doesn't happen here and nobody knows why.

That said, I don't actively tempt fate either. Cars get locked at night and valuables get carried inside. It might not happen in my little Twilight zone haven, but I'm not going to invite it either.

You must have one of those neighbors. You know, the guy looks like he’ll pull a machine gun out of his pocket if you glance in his direction. Built like Shaq, always wears denim overalls, one strap hanging off, no shirt or shoes, doing chores in his front yard barefoot in the snow, Paul Bunion like feats of strength style. Yeah, the hoodlums stay away.
