Me either . I’m retired but slept in this morning. I saw around 6-9 doe this weekend and a 6 pointer a spike and an unknown small buck . Some of those doe I saw more than once . Saw nothing yesterday morning and only 2 deer Sunday . Too many people who think they are hunters in the woods around me have the deer on high alert . Very upsetting when ATVs all hours of the day cruising around :( guys coming in the woods at first light with flashlights on . Just annoying
Private property surrounded by other private property too

I just squirt some Tinks 69 on my boots. Maybe a drop or two in front of the stand. What's the idea behind the Water Beads?

My gun season seems to the same as bow was. Seeing a lot of little ones. I don't mind because I can see how the deer are moving. Hunting from a new stand this year and cleared shooting lanes through the cattails. With watching little ones I can see where I need improvement.
Took today off from hunting to get a few things taken care of.

Tie some fresh Tarsals to your boots and walk around.

So the information I saw was that the beads expand with fluids. They also absorb and then release the scents that are impregnated on them. Thereby in theory luring deer to where you leave the beads.

And before it is mentioned, this is perfectly legal where I hunt.

Definitely better than anything in a bottle lol. I'll tie em to a string and to my boots and let them drag the ground.

    That's my understanding as well.
Read a long time ago that the commercial "Foo-Foo" in a bottle was primarily taken from farm raised deer and may actually be a turn off to your local deer. Old Timey Vermonter told me about using tarsels from local deer.
Don't know how true or valid it is, but makes sense.:notsure:
Tried it several times and it worked a few.

After taking the boys, I finally got to go out and try to pop a doe this morning. I harvested this old girl. The Lord sure has blessed my family this season. The nine year old says he still wants to go get his big buck. LOL. I hope everyone’s season has been as memorable as mine. I am ever so thankful for any amount of time that I get to spend in His majesty. Good luck to y’all.

Im hoping after gun season i can see more here. Im limited to my property, while deer are coming to corn its usually at night. Or when im busy doing something else. Theres lots pressure and bigger corn piles down the road from me so my place is kinda a crossing through rather than sticking around.

Posted these in the hunting thread but last weeks Idaho Whitetails. Blue tongue really hit them hard last year.

jan17 season ends so hope to see something before that.

Next year i hope to get a small walkin cooler done, then i can get my deer early on. Was just too hot here and a good 35min drive to processor. We dont "need" food but always nice to harvest deer, especially on your property.
