I am planning on doing a 6 inch lift and 35s soon. I'm pretty sure a cmc is needed in order to fit 35s. Correct me if I am wrong. With a cmc, is it recommended to just chop and weld a bracket in, or to do a cab mount relocation bracket as well?

They're 2 different modifications. Most will be fine with a CMC, but the CMR looks much cooler and gives some additional clearance.

With a 6" lift though, you might not need to chop anything unless you're also increasing travel.

How are you achieving the 6in lift and who's doing it?
A 6in lift is going to push everything pretty far down if you're doing LT. If you're going drop bracket you may not even need to do a CMC or CMR. If it's a shop doing it you might as well get the chop done. Also incase you're unaware you should also replace your needle bearing with the ECGS one.
