    Nice handy work. We've certainly seen this done before, but everyone seems to take a slightly different approach! This design certainly has its benefits. Lots of exposed tracks to be utilized!

    That's great that you maintain the functionality of the tailgate panel with the Yakima bike carrier still attached. Is this due to pivoting fittings or just the design of the carrier in the back allowing some flex?

    Thanks! The Yakima attaches via a thick "polymer" strap that basically spins around the crossbar when lifting the panels.
