    Hello,

Recently I had finally decided to splurge and got my valve cover gasket and spark plugs replaced by a trustworthy shop. However, once I got the truck back I noticed that there is a sort of whine when the truck is at idle or low rpm in 1st gear. It sounds almost hydraulic in nature and has a sort of tempo that makes it seem like a belt or pulley. I had never noticed it before the service was performed but I know that sometimes getting one thing fixed can lead to another issue later.

My question is, would this be related to the service performed? I was hoping to troubleshoot it myself before taking it either back to the shop or having them check it. They have done work on my truck before and have done a good job previously.

    Thank you for any feedback!

Doing some more troubleshooting, I have noticed that the noise is most pronounced under the vehicle and is not really audible when the truck is running and I am standing in front of it. May be a clutch noise?
