New tacoma with 6MT... how long did you have to wait?

1st gear downhill in 4lo is pretty damn slow. And you can modulate your own brakes. Uphill in 4lo in 1st gear is lots of torque.

Historically they only made the manuals on a short run once a quarter. If you missed the boat you had to wait. With a 5% rate it gets even trickier if you're married to having a specific color. I flew up two states and drove back to get my manual pro. Had to sacrifice on the color but worth it to row my own gears.

 

Guess I have to wait until next batch. I am not picky at all when it comes to color. Would take any color except white if some become available.

 

I used CarGurus to find my 2023 TRD Pro 6MT. I was only interested in Solar Octane. I was willing to travel so I widened my search. I live in Florida but will be picking the Tacoma up in Pennsylvania. I found the truck on Oct 12 and the truck is scheduled for delivery between 11/1-11/12.

 

My list of must haves wasn’t long so my wait wasn’t terrible. All I wanted was a trd off-road with manual and no add-ons. Put deposit December 28th of 2020 and got the call that arrived March 2nd of 2021.

 

There’s a certain element of luck involved. I found an available ORSB 6-MT that a local dealer had on allocation coming in. Took only 2 weeks LAST summer! Supply seems better now, so just be persistent, make lots of calls, and remember that the harder you work at it, the less competition you will have.

 

I drew an inside straight and found an incoming in 4 weeks. Got it last week.

Got one solar octane TRD pro manual coming in Canada next late spring and another coming south Florida early spring.

 

Lucked out, 3.5 month wait TRD PRO, purchased in Cali.

 

I used CarGurus to find my 2023 TRD Pro 6MT. I started searching on 10/12. I found one in PA, called the dealer and found out it was not spoken for. I dropped my deposit that day. I flew in from FL to pick it up on 11/9.
