Thinking of adding some lights. Anyone done this?

-Raptor side markers (smoked), Morimoto is like $70 for all 4
front 2 light up amber, rear 2 light up red
It will be tricky to find/measure a good spot to put them, and figuring out how to drill a proper size oval shaped hole, to hold them secure

    and maybe under the tailgate,
Dodge Ram TRX "lamp bar", I believe is smoked, like $50 from a MOPAR dealer
not entirely sure how to mount that

Seems like a pretty cheap and easy way to make the truck look cooler
and safer/easier for people to see

    Thoughts?

You don't really need them. Those vehicles need them due to their extreme width

Consider investing in mods that will help you out off road

I dunno the Taco is extremely big compared to the Hyundai's flying around with blindfolded drivers; the more I can do to be seen the safer it is

It will make it look cooler off road = better confidence = better driving

I added some side markers, but I had also switched to fiberglass fenders

Looking cool is in the eye of the beholder. It’s a fad that will eventually wear off. Like spinners. Don't look cool to me. However, I do wish all cars had signal lights under the outside rear view mirrors, as a matter of safety.

If done right, markers could look cool

I like how the Chevy/GMC ATS4 has the amber lights on the fender right above each wheel. Would have to be flush mounted though

That Land Rover has them like that because the front headlights and the rear lights do not wrap around the sides. Federal law requires marker lights on each side to indicate presence or something like that.

I like how everyone is ripping OP and calling it a worthless mod. Guys, his truck, his decor choices. If you think its cool OP then go for it.
There are so many distracted drivers on the roads these days that I say the more light the better. Maybe those teen phone zombies will look up from tik tok long enough to not hit you.

You could easily tie these in to your DRLs. Shouldn't be too difficult. Light it up like the Griswold homestead
