Truck (02 4x4 reg cab) rides like crap. I have an A.R.E. fiberglass camper shell and some supplies in the back, like emergency tools, some camping supplies. Set some Ride Rites in the back as a temp fix but it hurts my back so time to swap the leaf springs! I don’t want anything with an overload spring as I live an area riddled with pot holes and uneven ground. Be a stiff ride. Def don’t want the Pro Expedition as I will never consistently keep 400+ lbs in the truck bed. I think the All Pros Standards with the Fox 2.0 sound great. Am I wrong? Hoping the shell and some supplies will bring the lift down to 2” and the ride rites will take anything else that goes below that.

You're speaking of brands I've never heard of on here. But you seem like almost the ideal candidate for an overload spring tbh. Dakar is mid and Deaver is $$$ < but those are the two brands I always hear

I can't comment on the fox shocks but I do have all pro standards and I really like them. I occasionally throw my camper shell on my truck and they handle the weight just fine.

How would you rate ride quality? Leaf packs without overload springs are suppose to be more responsive but I’m curious if being a “one size fits all” vs a custom set from Deaver or Alcan, means it rides rough for lighter trucks. I’m looking at $700 vs $1500 which is a huge margin.

Very good. I can really only compare to the stock leaf pack and the OME dakar pack but the ride quality has been better than those. I've been very happy with them so far.
