I have a 2022 sport without the navigation package. In order to see a map and directions I have to use a usb cable. Is there anyway to do this wirelessly without the wire? Is there a setting I’m not doing correctly?

The vehicle doesn’t have wireless CarPlay. There are adapters. I’ve not had success when trying those in the past (not on a Toyota)

Wired only. There's wireless carplay adapters like Carlinkpro, CPLAY2AIR, etc that can be bought for $50-$90.

I use this. It takes a few seconds to connect. And there is some added latency with the audio playing from videos. Of course that doesn’t matter for the drivers. And of course there are always people that argue, “How much longer does it take to plug your phone in / how inconvenient is it to do so?” Finally, there are occasional connection errors, like when a phone call ends the screen turns off and won’t come back on until you unplug the unit and plug it back in. But it definitely does work, especially if you are just simply trying to eliminate exposed cables.
