Thanksgiving wasn’t a huge holiday for our family due to most of us working jobs where it was just another Thursday and we had to work. Wasn’t uncommon for some of us not to be at the family function….. I didn’t think it would mess me up the way it did. Makes me REALLY dread Christmas!!!

Think we are doing Mexican:) one friend messaged me at 9:30 and asked how soon I could be ready cuz she’s coming to get me early…… Thst can’t be good intentions;)

we got a few decent mexican places here, couple places have a dessert called " Xanga" basically a deep fried sweet cream cheese filled chimichanga rolled in cinnamon and sugar with a scoop of icecream drizzled with chocolate syrup.

I did!! While I met 2 of my bfs for lunch, my niece and her friend showed up. After we finished eating, we decided to go to another location for a drink. We were having so much fun that we decided we weren’t done and made another stop. While there, my sister and mom joined us. I got home a little after 5. I had a good time talking, joking around, and laughing. I needed this!!

Austin showed up to play with the grandsons tonight so my tree didn’t get put up….. apparently, Austin pulls rank here!!

Hope you all enjoyed your day!!

I just don’t know who I will be on the other side of this tho…. I feel like who I was before is gone. That me will never be again. I don’t want to be stuck in this empty place. I care so little about things I used to. I guess in some situations, that will be a positive, but the point is, it’s not me. I guess we wait and see who emerges from this hell hole……

Good morning Shauna. Sounds like you had a great time out. Time with Friends and laughing improves our quality of life, and lifts our spirits. Good luck getting the tree up. Have a great and blessed day.

With time little by little you will emerge from this with a large part of who you were, and with some new perspectives on life.

You will be who you WANT to be.
If you want to be low, you will.
If you want to be hi, you do the things that can make u happy. Punishing yourself by not being happy
is not how this shit works. Who you were is gone? Naaaaaa. You put it in a drawer for a while. You need to let yourself be happy. Take it out if the drawer and put it back on. You still have a family. Embrace that.

I just lost my B.I.L Wednesday.
I lost a extremely close family member 4 months ago.
My wife’s sister is in a nursing home with heart problems and dementia and has had to be told
4 times already her husband is dead. She isn’t long for this world.
Be thankful of what you have.
