I have a stock 96 2wd 5 lug taco. Putting a 1.5" Daystar level kit on it and replace the shocks also.
My question is do I need to get a longer shock or will the stock shock have enuf travel? 95% of driving will be street & hiway driving. Any offroading will be on dirt roads only.
I installed stock Bilstein shocks on the rear and want to use Bilsteins for the front also.
I just dont know whether stock Bilstein would be safe or go with a longer shock. Any info would greatly be appreciated.

I think your referring to the coil over or strut. Which billsteins are you referring to? Think the 1500s are designed for stock coil springs.

The B6 4600s are the OEM upgrades for the 96 2wd 5 lug 2.4 taco. Bilstein front shock Part # 24-184991.
I researched the extended and compressed dimensions of the stock front shock & it has a difference of 5.34" of travel.
So with the average .75" to 1" lift that the kit will give me, Im thinking I will have plenty of travel with the Bilstein OEM upgrades.
