    Yes
And a grandson with severe brain issues caused by the hospital IMHO.

When my daughter was born I look at life differently. I feel like I have to be their protector.

i knew you were going to ask that when I posted.

I lose my son a little bit every day. He’s 40 going on 55.
The life is sapped out of him a little bit every time my grandson has a seizure.
    Or a tantrum.
12 years old going on 5
Extreme ADHD 2 eye operations and other things they haven’t got a handle on.
I die a little every day seeing my boy like that. I die a little more when I see my grandson
And the life I’ll never have with him.
An all because of the hospital. IMHO
This is only part of the things I deal with.
So I know about a broken heart and a lost soul.

You have had a tragedy no one should go through.
But, you have had great years with him a 100’s of great memories.
My great memory will be my grandson tying his shoes at the age of 20.
    If I live that long

That man gave you so much..

You will find a purpose again.
But, you have to allow yourself to reach for it.

While I understand what you were trying to say and I’m hoping it came with good intentions, but it was very inaccurate. Nothing compares to losing a child.
It’s pry best we end this convo.

Hope you have a great day:)

100%. Makes you see more beauty in the simple things (ever seen a 1 year old discover a leaf? So much excitement) and yet, you're always thinking at a hundred miles an hour, watching, alert, trying to stay ahead of the game. It's exhausting on a whole new wholesome level. I love it

You're a good dude. This has helped me a lot too.

There is no way you should or will be the same as you once were. You had a life changing event. The new you is now who you are. That’s not a bad thing, it’s just different.

Chin up and know, everyday is a new day and memories are forever. Cherish the good ones!

The bond between us was unbreakable. She didn't want to be separated from me. I gave my daughter to the mother she would just cry. I would hold her, she will stop crying. It was a whole new responsibility I had. Then a few years later my son was born.
