    just got home myself - went to our old town downtown area for small business saturday. my favorite knick-knack and toy shoppe is now a Lululemon. sigh. all the cool shops are either going away or switching things up to be more "trendy". not worth the time to go down there anymore.

    'Evening, peeps. The RSV crud still lingers, mostly a tight upper chest and some deep, unproductive hacking. I felt good enough to go for a drive today to look at a 5th gen T4R. While it was a nice drive, the rig was a turd. The whole passenger looked like it was wiped out and poorly repaired. You could see the broken fender trims weren't lined up and the double sticky tape was coming off ( couldn't even spring for the urethane panel adhesive "super glue" to hide their shit quality repair??), bad gaps everywhere, missing fender liner hardware, ect.... the used lot sleezeball had an answer for everything that could be basically summed up as " it's an 8 year old vehicle, all Toyotas have those kinds of gaps" Geez, really? Only on 1 side through, right?

    Well, the trip was useful in confirming that an SR5 w/o a sunroof is a perfect vehicle for me, now I just have to find one that wasn't badly crashed AND isn't priced as if it were made from Rhodium.

    I hope that everyone had a nice holiday and is surviving dealing with decorations and things like that.

    I still kinda miss my Runner but he had to go to afford the camper and that I love. Shoulda held on to him for another 6 months and I could have sold him for twice what I did :laugh: Hope you find a decent one if that's what you have your heart set on. He was a pretty solid vehicle, no real complaints from me.

    we have a similar event next saturday. i'll probably skip it though judging by what i saw today - our downtown just isn't the same anymore. its usually a pretty fun night so long as its not -20* - lights, parade with both Santa and Mike....I mean, the Grinch...high school band comes out to play christmas songs, food vendors
