I know this is a petty complaint but it sucks that the plastic buckles faded this bad after only 6 months, I even used that aerospace stuff on them.

Mine certainly have not done that even after 2 Canadian winters. But we don't get much sun so maybe it's that.

Mine also weren't that bad and they are old and have seen a decent amount of sun. Although it's stored indoors or covered on the truck when not in use. They had gotten brittle and broke though so I bought replacements from Softopper. They've been fantastic in terms of replacement parts.

Mine have not changed color at all after about 4 years, and thankfully have not become brittle, but these are a popular replacement. They're aluminum so at least they won't become brittle in the sun.

Can’t see how those would work, not saying they won’t I just can’t see it lol. I know they make metal versions of what’s on there now but you’d have to do some cutting and sewing

I've rolled my sides up maybe 3 times and not for any reason other than not having rolled them up in awhile. I could live without the clips.

I agree, the buckles are my one big complaint. I did order the replacement buckles from Softopper, and they have been good so far. I tried shopping around but didn’t find anything that I could easily change out, unless I wanted to cut and/or sew new buckles into place.

Washed and applied a fresh coat of carnuba wax for winter abuse. I feel like a poser when the Dyrteee truck is this clean.

Any good recs for securing flaps? Not too keen on drilling in my bed or slapping velcro on tailgate. Could you quote some ideas you have seen on here that people have done? Thanks to anyone for helping!

    Just some stuff...
I didn't use anything to keep that flap from flapping around, but I did notice that after a few months the paint on the tailgate was showing some wear. I bought some clear vinyl tape off of Amazon about two inches wide and ran it all the way across the tailgate after using some scratch X to get rid of the scratches. I'm pretty sure magnets will do the same. Just a thought.

Do you have a link to the tape you used?
