    Howdy neighbors. Getting my Tacoma (first truck) next week! Any suggestions on a good place to service it? I’m getting the truck from Coggins in NH. Closest dealer to me is Greenfield Toyota and don’t know much about them.

    Congrats on your new Tacoma sir. So you live in MA? What town do you live in and what type of service were you thinking about having done? Oil Changes? Spark Plugs Etc....or more intense stuff. The reason why IO ask is because down near the Springfield Area, we run a Mod/Maintenance meet every 3 to for weeks going from March to October. A bunch of guys helping to teach and help other guys with maintaining and Modding there taco.

    Hey thanks, yeah I’m about an hour north of Springfield. I would check that out in the spring. I’m getting a new truck so really just looking for basic service. Its free for the first 2 years but I’ve heard some horror stories on here re dealerships. Closest places to me are Greenfield and then Lia in Northampton.

    Haddad has a great service department (or used to be 10 years ago, same owners) but its a treck. Overall I have had poor luck with dealers, I would suggest doing most stuff yourself.

    Here are some of my fun ones on the 'free maintence' and Warranty work done by 3 different BMW dealers in eastern MA:

    1) Forgot my car during oil change, 2 hours later hadnt started, decided to rush and ran it through carwash across the road when they were done to save time. Scratched up whole side of car. 3 weeks of arguing (service guy was on my side manager said it was wear and tear 5k miles), 3 weeks to repaint

    2) Randomly put 150 miles on my car during warranty (apparently one of the 'new kids' used it as a second car when delivering someone elses)

    3) Put two different sets of tires on the car (pilot super sports in the rear, random all seasons in the front.... oops?)

    4) Completely smoked my clutch driving out of the shop, not knowing how to work a manual. Walked in, brought the manger out, and the car still reeked. He was actually super appolgetic and wrote me a 100k warranty on the clutch...

    5) Wiped all my custom programming on the computer while changing wiper motor??? put lug bolts in so tight I had to take it back to them to get them off. 3ft breaker wouldnt budge.

    6) Subaru Springfield Bonus: Break warranty put pads in backwards

    Good luck :) lol

    Really the only thing that you will need over the course of 2 years is free oil changes. And that is depending upon which young tech is doing it on your truck at the dealership on a day to day basis. Any dealership will be fine regarding the oil changes if you want to take advantage of that it is free oil and filters .....after that, or if you don't want to have the stealship do something for you and try to up sell you everything, then come out with us and we will get you fixed up.
