We were talking Friday about how you don’t need expensive camo clothing to kill deer, but next time I go hunting I may wear my Christmas pants and see if they help! Tell her congratulations on a nice deer!

Yessir thanks Fargo I pulled the trigger on 3 gb40's yesterday. Hopefully my father in law and my dad will like them.

We're home now, I drove 9 hours through the night and got home early this am. That's 1900+ miles on the odo in 9 days. It's all about timing the baby sleep out for us, my youngin has teeth coming in everywhere so not much sleep at all this week.

I was thankful for the 4 or 5 days I was able to hunt while I was up, Wnc must've had a cold fall I didnt see much for acorns off the ground or on. I think I missed the rut by a few weeks but hey a bad day in the woods beats a good day at work. The county I was in allows no does to be shot. Just bucks.

I did pick up a couple wall hanger mini oil droppers that I've been looking for, I'll share them as I unpack...

I laughed when we pulled in to get the deer when I saw she had those on

The kids and I went to a friends farm to hunt and left an hour and a half before her.

 

Finally finished a project 2 years in the making. Took a while to shoot or collect the shells then figuring out how I was going to connect everything as I came up with it. I cut my thumb on the piece of aluminum so I guess you could say I put my blood and sweat into it but no tears were shed

Finally got to use that Miller generator/welder at work the other day, the one like you have. Had to repair and weld a dock plate that required some serious welding and there was no 480V plugs nearby to use our other welder. We have two Fronius battery powered stick welders, but they would not last long welding at 100+ amps for several hours. Hooked the little trailer up to the Kubota and took it right to the outside of the door. First time I've ever used it and I am very well impressed with how it worked! I was running 1/8 7018 rods and it never skipped a beat. Probably went through 20 rods on this repair

It has the 20 HP Kohler CH20 twin running on propane (so it can be run inside) so it's definitely a little cold natured, but some playing with the choke it runs fine. They let me do a complete service on it last year and I don't think its been run since.

 

Mine has the same engine, but uses gasoline and it’s cold natured too. They do weld great for what they are!

I'll definitely be getting it out for that kind of repair again if I can't get to a 480V outlet reasonably. Those battery powered stick welders are nice, but don't provide enough constant "oomph" for structural stuff like I was doing. I wore the battery out of one just doing a short repair to an extendo unit using 1/8 rods at 95 amps...

Made some progress this afternoon in the new sub panel. I’m still not fully 100% with my knee so I have to be very careful and very slow on the ladder.

Still have to connect the wires at the main panel.

 

Holy crap, someone wiring up a sub panel correctly
