not sure how much room you have to work with. But I used this between my transmission pan and Roostfactor y pipe. Good stuff.

Yes, doing this mod. Also y'all gonna be tuning this! I plan on doing a return system he mentions at the end instead of the dead head

My dummy understanding is in stock form the fuel rails run in series, making the passenger side run lean. This splits it even to run in parallel, on a budget.

I've never heard that expression before, but you know what.. I dig it and I'm here for it.

Going lean at any point sounds dangerous, and shitty! This definitely sounds like a great solution to the whole series deal.

It's not so much an issue on the *Tundra TRD 525cc injectors, even OK with 650cc to an extent. But highly recommended for 750cc (as I understand). And the closest kit offering comes in at $2k+ and requires their custom fuel rails, which ViktorG demonstrates in his vids that stock are more than enough.

Also @viktorg on tundras is essentially @JustDSM over here. Endless free boosted toyota community info!!!

Which is something the Yota community desperately needed for years. I'm so glad we are where we are now and it's thanks to so many people.

After your guy's header install, any notice in change of how boost kicks in? I wonder if I messed up the flow with the shorty headers and maybe I should consider rolling back to a 2.5 exhaust to keep the exhaust piping and flow scavenge positive. Seems like I start boosting later around 2500 whereas it used to be 2200. Any advice?

Yeah that's pretty normal when you get headers even if boosted.

Sounds like you need a smaller pulley!

And then fuel injectors and tuning. This is sounding like another expensive endeavor! Oh boy ;)

Thanks for the heads up. Now I know what to expect. It comes on like a freight train but I moved on to 40" tires so I lost some. But gained it all back in street cred.

I can't leave anything well enough alone
I don't know if that is expected or not, I'm no boost expert. But just thinking out loud and from physics perspective, boost is a measure of restriction really, if there is more flow (less restriction) in the engine it will have less boost if everything else is the same. So I can see the concept of boost not showing up until later in the rpm band, but that doesn't mean the engine is flowing less air or making less HP. Does it feel a lot soft in that area like it's a problem, or are you just noticing a change and seeing if anyone else has seen it similarly?

What is your current boost PSI at and what pulley are you running?

Lot soft and noticing change. It used to engage much quicker I thought. But again, maybe it's big tires and the URD tuning. I went up to 40s on Saturday and it just felt disconnected. I'm going to refrain from making any more "pulls" until I hook up my trans cooler. And swap trans fluid to make sure it's not slip I'm feeling.

that's a good question if I had my boost gauge hooked up. But I'm on a 2.7 pulley.

Going from 9+psi to 7psi when I changed out the same. Its a pretty common occurrence. Doesn't mean that you lost any power, but it does meant that there is less pressure and thus heat building up. Did you ever do gears? That transmission is going to be screaming for mercy.

That's a good reference point. I'll be sure to hook up my boost gauge this week. I wasn't inspired to work on the car much during summer.. Oh the drivetrain wants to tap at any minute. I'm putting it thru it's paces. No gears yet. I was hoping to get a cage early next year so I can tie in shocks/link it but I'll need to see my options so I can go to a 5.3 gear sooner than later.

You don't have a boost gauge? That is a very important piece of information you are missing. Hook one up ASAP that way you can properly gauge and mod without having to guess. Lay off the beans in the meantime but I see you already mentioned that so that's good that you know to do that in advance.
