I have always wanted to build a cool push stroller for my future child and now that I have one due in March I obtained something to turn into a cool little stroller. My original plan was to make a hot rod style radio flyer but I found something else this past weekend at the Daytona Turkey Rod Run.

Prior to Tacomas I cut my teeth so to speak on Mercedes Benz diesels from the 70s and 80s, I've owned around 15 different classic diesels and some non diesels as well. I'm itching to get a diesel back and have some plans in play to get one, another story.

But while at the rod run I wasnt finding any cool radio flyer bodies and I stumbled across this

It's a Young Masters Mercedes Benz pedal car, but its electrified. I have been looking for one of these for a while. They go for a few hundred on ebay plus massive shipping fees. I picked this up for $80.

It needs a restoration and some customization. Thankfully the left side rubber trim is pretty much all there so I should be able to fix it all and make molds and then reverse the molds to get the passenger side.

Plans are to build a new frame for it, obtain better wheels and tires, add a push handle and restore it. I have a few 1980's era mercedes sales brochures with paint chips so I might find one that I like and have a buddy that owns a body shop do a full 2k paint job on it because I'm extra like that.

stretch goals will be to recreate the headlights to be more accurate and recreate period correct AMG Ronal wheels or Lorinser wheels. I'd also consider redoing the hubcaps to be more accurate.

I obtained a child sized hot rod bomber seat but it doesnt really fit my styling ideas, ill save that for her hot rod radio flyer.
