New to the forum & wanted to introduce myself. Retired , livin the dream in the bush of northern Ontario, Homesteading plus I'm away from the crazzies & the citidiots that abound in the south of the province I call home.(Lots of them out there nowadays)
Anyway, about 8 years ago I was left an 04 prerunner with very low mileage. Between my 2 teenage boys & my busy life it was well used & slightly abused. A little while ago the dreaded frame rot made its presence known in a big way. There are still a lot of good bits but the frame is done! Over the years I fell in love with the truck & was disappointed that it was done for with such low km (160,000)
SO, I found an 03 4x4 that has had a new frame installed. Issue with that one is that it has 350,000 km. It has had a bunch of things done to it, new(to it) motor (90,000 km) various break parts, a couple front end parts, tube bumpers headache rack, light bars, snorkel, header & stuff like that. It still needs a fair bit of stuff, it will need a searing rack very soon, ball joints all around & a hanger bearing to name a few.
The plan is to make 1 great one from the 2 rough ones. I haven't yet decided how the build will go. S.A.S? Full sized 1 ton axles? Exoskeleton roll protection? Flat bed or keep the box? You get the idea, I have not yet decided anything other than Im broke & everything will need to be done on a budget.
So, to the first issue that i am looking for guidance with.
Both trucks cabs have rotten out cab mounting points. The cab on the prerunner is in better all around shape but the mounting points are simply gone. With the state they are in I do not know what is supposed to be there, so replicating them is tough without a pattern.
Does anyone know if these are an available replacement part & where I might find them?
OR if they are not available , any suggestions as to how to proceed from someone who has tackled this issue before would be greatly appreciated. This cant be a rare thing.
My problem is the body/cab itself not the mounting bolts. Every place I look the bolts & rubber mounts are all I can find.

    Thanks in advance
    Steve

Have you looked on the Safe T caps website for cab mounts ?

Black DOG Lila ... Thanks for the idea. I just called them & they only do chassis/frame parts. What I need is the actual body parts. The part of the cab that actually bolts to the frame.
    Thank you for trying.

    Steve

Edit... I just called a Toyota dealer & they do not supply those parts at all.
    Still screwed!!!!

Anyone have a cab that they want to sell bits off of?
