I was driving probably 30mph today and out of nowhere there was a gust of wind and a small cloud right in front of me. I thought it was just some dust/dirt but it sounded like small rocks being thrown into my windshield on the freeway. Hundreds of them. It was salt left over from the last snow.

Now my windshield has tons and tons of small pits in it. Nothing that's going to cause it to crack but it's there and it's slowly going to drive me crazy.

What can I do? Is it possible to sell my windshield wlif I buy a new one? How much could I get for one? What about polishing the windshield? How much would that cost assuming it works?

No one wants a used windshield except rare unobtainable cars.

You can't fix it, and it will be awful to drive during dusk and dawn.

I had a sander do this to my ex wife's car and most of the tiny chips were on the hood. Not much you can do.

If you have the correct insurance with glass coverage (like extra $50 a year or so?) you can get it replaced every 2-3 years, even if it’s just getting pitted. The increased glare at night can get pretty bad.
