So I’m in a situation where I bought a Tundra brake booster and master cylinder but turns out the brake booster is to large for my setup so my only option is to keep a stock Tacoma brake booster. That being said I have an ‘05 but I’d have to order a new booster and master cylinder since I tossed them awhile back. Would the best option be just to go for the camry master and an 09+ Tacoma booster? I’m running Wilwood brakes on all 4 corners and I’m re plumbing all brake lines if that matters. No ABS.

Not a helpful post, but I could be interested in buying the Tundra setup off you if you're selling it

So if I was already geared to say 4.88 in the front, would the 3rd in the 9" also be 4.88 or is it different due to the size difference of the axle shafts/3rd?

You can get the Ford in 4.86 and be just fine.

I’ve read you can have almost 10% difference in gear ratio between the front and back diffs and be just fine. But obviously the closer they are in ratio the better.

I can't wait to start this... My camburg housing should be ready soon. Need to start buying all the extra parts to go with it.

Great write up. About to install the JDFab LT kit/subframe LCA tabs & debating whether to take on the JDFab Ford 9 too.

What mods do you need for the E-brake? I did not see anything discussing this (sorry if I missed it buried in the thread)

Im currently running no ebrake. But wilwood makes parking brake calipers in either cable or electric flavors. It’s up to you to make it work. It’s just a matter of gabbing up the bracket to hold the caliper. It’s not overly difficult to do. I’m just lazy.

very tempting. Not "if" but "when" since I already cracked my OEM axle housing and driving around with temp weld fix.

Thank you Airdog regarding parking brake options.

I remember talking to you and @tacotunner06 over on the LTBS thread about a send cut send file. I know I'm definitely going to want to do an ebrake when I do my swap. Those electric ones are sexy.

yeah it’s very doable. But someone’s basically gotta be the Guinea pig for a 3” one with different style mounting. But I have the file on my laptop at home.
