Hey all since sinking the front of my truck and the water getting into the passenger side floorboard my 4x4 hasn't been working right. When it first happened every time on start up it would continue flashing and might shut off. I cleaned and dried out all the connectors in the passenger side. Sprayed out the connectors with qd cleaner and even unplugged the two connectors going to the front diff. The problem went away but as it was fall i didn't need 4x4 so i wasnt regularly testing it. Now its winter and Sometimes it engages fine. Sometimes the light flashes for a while then engages but worse when i try and engage it and the light keeps flashing but not engaging and even moving the switch to 4lo back to 4hi and back to 2wd nothing happens. Wheres the relay for 4x4, I can hear the clicking of relays trying to engage. It was fine for a while but now the big snow storms coming this evening and its not working.

The actuator is also located beneath the floor pan. To access it, you’ll need to remove the floor pan. Once you have access, you can remove the old actuator and install a new one.

Could be the actuator in the front diff. on a side note, You should change the diff oil.
