Got the call I've been waiting a few months for.....dealer calls and says your tacoma just arrived. The adventure begins....
Ive been cruising the forum for a few weeks now and found an incredible amount of great information and ideas.
Pretty sure i want a soft rollup tonneau (Maybe Truxport) & possibly Steelcraft HD series step boards
These will need to be 1st two mods, thoughts ???

    Oh look, another mod....
A real Tacoma enthusiast would ALREADY have purchased mods before the truck arrived. You aren't one of us! Go spend about $5k in upgrades; you can't be considered one of the 'cool' kids until you do.

P.S. Post pictures of your new ride the moment you get it.

LOL my assembled RCI bed rack sat in my living room along with my x4s tonneau cover for a full two months before I got my Tacoma.

Removed factory bed cover and installed UnderCover Elite. Added LOCKERDOWN console safe.
    Thoughts
Why not drive the Taco a month or so without the steps? Most people don’t need them and they do get your pants and her dress dirty by rubbing off.
    Just not a fan.
I’m in the UnderCover Elite camp because the single one peace will not leak no matter what or how long you have it. My last TRD (before selling) had 125k miles and 9 years old never a leak. My new one is due this week for ‘23 Taco.
    Just my opinion

You will enjoy that new truck

Be sure to get a bed mat when you pickup your truck at the dealer. It's inevitable so may as well get it over with now. - ha.

I appreciate the tips and might just do that and wait a few weeks for the steps. Might need them eventually, the gf while lite and nimble, is also vertically challenged at 5’4” lol

Off all the stuff I've spent my money on so far the bed mat and cat shield are at the top of the must have list.
