The guy whose cabin we stayed in bought 640 acres for $56 each back in the 70s with the intent to retire there eventually. Can’t imagine being able to afford that now on top of a place to live.

A number of people in the northern part own property on shale gas reserves. I know of a few that sold the mineral rights and collect some good monthly checks from gas wells.

freak accident, dog's weight probably angled it upward and guess a claw found it's way on the trigger....don't know why someone would just lay a loaded gun on the ground but for that to happen is pretty crazy.
