Did you try Home Depot? Lowes?

Grainger (branches in San Jose and Salinas) has all of it but won't be available for pickup at either branch (or any in the Bay Area) until Thursday, 12/1.

I might try them directly. Good thing about them is I get it in shorter lengths instead of everything at 25’. For all of the cable I need they are the same price as just the 1/0 on Amazon.

I might stop here for some of the random stuff I need instead of planning it all through Amazon and risking getting garbage. :)

Home Depot and Lowe’s I’ve never seen wire that size (granted I’ve never looked though) so I didn’t bother even checking them.

Grainger looks super pricey but worth checking out.

    Thanks everyone. :D

FWIW, I ordered their (EWCS) 2 gauge 15' black/red combo back in June 2021. Still the same price and decent quality cable.

They also have the 1/0 you're looking for as well. Out of stock on the 25' but they do have the red in 20'

Oh that’s not bad either and 20 should fine. Added to massive Amazon list. :spending:

Picked this up for my son for his bday. I didn't realize these things had a functional FM radio and MP3 jack, as well as LED headlights. My son didn't realize it also came with a remote control...I kinda scared him at first, when it went all Christine on him. Good times!

I can’t wait until he's a bit older and I can get a bigger battery in it.

Me back with another stupid question.

Other than Hollister (I’ve never been there but I’d rather not deal with a busy park - assuming that’s what it’s like) are there any other spots within an hour or so of San Jose? I want to find some sort of dirt road where I can mess around with my suspension set up.

Even if it’s just like 50-100 yards is probably enough.

I found one that’s on the way to Big Sur from Santa Cruz that goes around that big bridge but it’s pretty much a smooth dirt road.

Hollister's probably your best bet if you really want to put it to the test. Most everything else is just going to be a fire road. Unless there's an event on, it's unlikely to be busy enough to be a real bother.

Just go to Hollister. If you’re afraid of crowds, go during the week.

Probably further than you want to go, but if you travel about 1 hour further south to Big Sur you can take Will Creek Rd / Los Burros Rd / South Coast Ridge Rd. Look for Treebones Resort, and it’s a left up a hill from there. It is still an easy road, but definitely more challenging than the one you mentioned around Bixby Bridge and has amazing views. I rarely see other vehicles there.

If you haven't already purchased what you need, I have some 2/0 assemblies I just re-discovered in my parts bin:

    + battery to lug 8'-3"
    - battery to lug 9'-3"
    + lug to lug 6'-2"

Sure we can make a deal if the lengths work for what you are doing.

It’s not that I’m afraid of crowds I just expect it to be like Disneyland since it’s the only off road spot in the area. All I need is a short stretch of bumps I can mess around with my suspension for a bit. I guess I need to check it out before just dismissing it.

That’s not too far. I’m expecting 1-2 hours max. I’ll check this out too. All I need are some bumps so I can play around with my suspension.

Your profile show Santa Cruz, so pick any one of the Santa Cruz mountain roads that county does not maintain regularly. Old Santa Cruz road between Summit to HW17 on the Santa Cruz side is more potholes than pavement and I can point to a spot on Glenwood Drive (north of the cutoff) where you can get airborne with a little speed. Might not be dirt but your suspension will get exercised.

But only if you don’t need high speed, people and their pets are up here.
