You're the only one doing any "attacking".. suggesting that I can't afford to buy new lumber and general mocking my questions with a condescending attitude. I could care less that the 3 minutes of copy/paste cost you more in your salary then the joist is worth. You are absolutely NO ONE that I need to answer to, for anything.

Thanks for your feedback. This is the way that I decided to move forward. I lost last week due to a co-working bringing the RSV crud into the office and wiping out 2/3 of the staff. I have no issues with replacing any of the joists/hardware if that solved the problem, it just wouldn't solve the problem. The planed drop into the corner will hardly be noticeable. I've been using the Woodlife coppercoat on all of the cut ends.

That cast iron flange looks pretty solid, nothing to worry about there. Use only a wax seal without the horn. Those wax-less seals are for a perfect situation and everything squeaky clean.

The cutoff, yea you got an interesting battle there. If your pipes are copper then it is stubbed out of the wall with either a 3/8 or 1/2 nipple. They should have used brass, but that doesn't always happen. There are some threads left so put plenty of tape and a good layer of dope and see what happens. I always used both tape and dope in this situation. If it doesn't seal then you're gonna have a battle getting that galvanized nipple out of the copper adapter in the wall. We all know what you're gonna have to do in that case...

This is better quality than anything you find in the stores. Better stainless so worth the money imo

Factory 2-inch lift kit with Toyota Heritage Grille. Added some heritage color tri-color vinyl to hood and rear.
Replaced my front door (son in law did manual labor) with the same exact door....the first door was warped and never closed properly. I was able to bring the door back to Home Depot where I purchased originally and was able to get a swap even though door was purchased April 2021. Price difference from 2021 (800 bucks) and today 1400 bucks...closes much better now!

Back at the Ramshackle Resurrection build this week after waiting for revised structural drawings

We are now replacing the ocean side foundation and basement framing for a multitude of reasons . We also need to level the floor system and as a result of that decided to raise the floor / upper floor framing by approx 5" to allow for a 7'6" finished basement ceiling height

In preparation for lifting the house , we drilled and epoxied redi rod "indexing" pins through the basement sill plates of the framing into the existing foundation around the perimeter of the house , leaving them about 10" long above the current height of the sill plates . These would act to keep the walls located over the existing foundation and allow us to secure the building to the existing foundation while we remove the front of the house with respect to any wind issues

We installed temporary LVL jacking beams front and back and lifted the house with 4 / 20 tonne bottle jacks , shimming between the foundation and sill plate till we got to our desired height

We installed temporary framed cribbing walls that will carry the house while we remove and replace the portions of the foundations we are going to be working on

you can see the exterior walls are now up about 5" above the foundation , shimmed between foundation and sill plate

We need to add some cross bracing , machine comes next week to remove existing front foundation wall and excavate for our new foundation formwork

After 23 months being bitter about the noisy 30 year old screw drive garage door motor I finally installed the one I got for a screaming deal back in October. Bezos sent me the wrong model & replaced it without asking for the other one back. Ended up selling it for $200 so this unit only cost me $54 in the end. The 2,000 lumen 360° light is pretty impressive. I still need to staple the wires in place & trim them to length but she’s working like a champ!
