    ...^^^... I didn't know it was a kit car. :confused:

    I thought it was a higher performance car with 4 bolts which could cause a problem with some torque.

    Yes, I am familiar that some smaller (lower performance) cars had 4 bolt and some even 3 bolt. :cool:

    Honda Civic was 4 lug up until 08 I believe. I think the SI was 5lug like the Integra Type R.

    While the new ones are built on a custom tube frame, they started as VW pans. Note even this one is 4-lug.

    I think JDM Hondas all had 5 lug hubs back in the 90s and 2000s. I remember Honda nerds trying to build a "JDM" car would source 5 bolts hubs just for the extra sauce.

    SmartCars have 3 bolt hubs :anonymous:

    As a tech, I find the lug bolts don't get knicked and damaged as much as studs. They rarely lock up or get sticky like nuts can

    My Mustang was Factory 4 Lug, however I completely swapped out the entire brake system from a SN95 Cobra that used 5 lugs.

    The Carlo Abarth story is an interesting one, a bit more than just a kit car. With ties to Fiat Alfa Romero and Porsche… and that’s just the auto world (not to mention numerous speed records). And his motorcycle days, he raced and beat the orient express in the 30’s some 810 miles or so. ;)
