So, I ordered some aftermarket remotes for my 2008 the other day and they're not wanting to program. I have cleared all remotes in the system and still when I go to program the remote by holding the L/UL buttons for 1.5 seconds and realizing to press the lock button and instead of the locks just cycling once they cycle twice and don't program. I have the old remote that is a little busted up but still works and I was able to re-program easily.

Probably got crap remotes that aren't made right. I bought one of those Camry-kinda all-in-one key/remote combos from Amazon & had the same problem with the 1st one. Ordered a 2nd one & that one programmed just fine.

I'm not sure of it, but it wouldn't surprise me if any 315mHz signal will try to trigger it, whether it's a 'logical' signal to the receiver or not.
