    Hi everyone,

I recently noticed that 2006 2.7L 4cyl Tacoma is leaking coolant. I took a few pictures of where it is coming from. Any ideas or pointers on where I need to look or how I can go about trouble shooting or repairing this? The truck only has 88k on it so I'm really hoping this isn't a headgasket issue. Any advice?

Thanks in advance! It has been one of those days. :annoyed:

Seeing how your truck is an earlier model.
My first guess would be the coolant bypass pipe.

I’ll see if I can find the post of where to look and part #.

Looks exactly like the leak that’s showed up on mine in the last week. Best I can tell it’s the bypass pipe, plan to upgrade to the metal pipe when I can get into the shop in a few weeks. Mines a 2006 with 220K so I’ve been lucky on the original plastic pipe.

Thanks so much for this information! I will see if I can find the bypass pipe and look into it this weekend. I'll keep everyone posted.
