What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Back in. There’s a camera. As for the nose. Years of experience or find a spot in a deserted parking lot. Put a 5 gallon pail ( empty) in the way. At idle speed, approach the pail. As soon as you lose sight of the pail. Start counting. Your still at idle speed btw. When you hit the pail say at 5 seconds. Then you know the time it will take before the bumper gets to parking lot curb. Just stop the truck before you count to 5.

 

Ordered a set two weeks ago but apparently there’s a lead time that was never shown on their website.

That only works for logical people. My spouse parks in a different spot on the driveway every day with either our Taco or Forte5. It drives me nuts!

But I did make this LED Illuminated Engraved License Plate cover for the Taco.



Used to have a Lit Up license plate back in Japan, so was trying to make something that gave a similar effect.

 

From my understanding the SR models have to use the add-a-fuse in order to have the DRL. But my stock headlights had the LED DRL, so they were a 1 for 1 swap on my TRD OR. Completely plug and play

Sadly any change to the plate that dmv hands you is a violation of law here in ct.
even the frames for said plates are illegal but rarely enforced

 

Got my RCI rear bumper in yesterday, a month early! Good thing I already rewired for the Rigid lights last weekend. Now I have to stare at it until I can get it on this weekend.

Just took delivery of my new TRD Pro. So happy to be back in a Tacoma.

 

Not much touch to the grill and since the grill is plastic as long as it protects the hood, I don't care if it erodes 1/8" of the grill away as long as the metal is okay.

The 08 Ford Sport Trac I just sold when I got my Taco had factory rubber floors... guess it was supposed to match the "sport" of truck... fully loaded truck with leather and rubber floors...I loved it! Anyways, I would have paid for that if it was an option on Tacos.... oh well.
