DC Power 270 Amp Alternator

This is a brand new, DC Power 270 amp alternator for the 3rd generation Tacoma.
I had planned on installing it, but truth be told it does require a bit of altering some wiring I'm not going to perform.
I've arranged to send it back to DC Power, but their refund process will take some time.
I'm opting to offer it here for a faster recoup of my spending. It's normally a 3 to 4 week wait if ordered from DC Power.
It's a billet aluminum front case. Cast aluminum rear case and truly an amazing piece.
If no bites here, I'll return to DC and just wait on their process.
Their websight lists this for $635 and tax. I paid $685 all in and am asking $585 and shipping.

I don't see where wiring changes are required.

 

They don't tell you.
The LIN plug is not in the same position as the o.e. so you need to extend that wire. Doable. It also does not carry over the bracket the O.E. piece uses. It's installed with their hardware only.
I guess it's less of a wire "change" and more of alteration.
You also need to replace the existing alt fuse locates at the bottom of the fuse box and wire in fuse suitable to the 270 amp alternator.

 

I will have to look into this. I bought a 270 Singer Alt from a buddy who never installed it. Curious if the same modifications are needed

DC Power, as seen in their email here, know this is not a direct fit as advertised then later explain in emails.
I don't fault them, I'm just not going thru all their paces to install this. Here is their reply to me just to show you what you might be in for also...
