Such stupid animals.. I stopped to let one cross the road and waited a bit for the others to follow. They seemed to not be interested in crossing and just kept eating grass like the stupid prey animals they are. I give up and start driving away. As I pass through about 15-20 mph, I see something out of the corner of my eye; this idiot of an creature is racing along side me (presumable to then try to cut in front of me??) so I slam on my brakes and come to a quick stop. The moron simultaneously makes a hard cut to the right and HEADBUTTS my truck! She immediately got up and ran away, presumably with a headache.

I had been hunting every day for three weeks and saw NOTHING! I'd have been OK with this if she had died or rendered herself unconscious (hell, I still had the cooler in the back of my truck from hunting earlier that day) The humor of irony makes this a little easier to accept.

I'll eventually get around to it but I'm really in no hurry to fix the damage. Luckily, I've moved past viewing the truck through an emotional lens and just see it for its utility--which is uncompromised.

Can you heat up the panel with a heat gun or hair dryer and pop it out? That is what I would try as the dent thankfully does not look very sharp.

They do some damage that's for sure. I was pulling my boat in the dark a few years back and stopped for some deer. They just stood there so I started driving past really slow. Then one takes off at full tilt and barrels into my drivers door, shook it's head and ran away. Pretty much caved it in. That was expensive.

I can't like the post but I do compliment you for the entertaining way you shared it with us. :)

I too have also cursed with gusto as the marble brained animals slammed into my stopped car.

I feel you Jacob. I live in SE Pa. and I'm an 'ace' when it comes to hitting deer. I've hit 5 with 4 different vehicles.

    few things here and there.

I’m sorry, but I laughed when I read this, because the same fucking thing happened to me.

I stopped to let one pass, about 15 yards in front of me. As I was literally saying “look at that deer” another came out of nowhere and decided to run right into my fender.

Literally had ALLLLLL the space in front of me, behind me, around me… and it decided to run right into me lol. That was one of the last memories I had in my 2nd Gen.

They reproduce faster than we can shoot them. I eat 2 or 3 every year.

Right there with you. Wed. Night before Thanksgiving.
Got slowed from 45 to about 20 but center punched a small buck. Bastard rolled a few times and ended up laying a field looking at me from 150 yards away.
    Waiting on estimate.
Payback for the Doe I shot the week before I guess.
First one I've hit in 42 years and I had my head on a swivel looking. Damn bucks in rut are just crazy.

I concur with your description of these animals. Stupidest animals on earth - useless - they don't even taste good.

When I was riding a motorcycle Deer were the number 1 hazard I looked out for, closely followed by anyone behind the wheel of a car.
