I have an 07 4wd Fj cruiser with 160k on it. Transmission has never been messed with. It shifts fine. I’m going to drop the pan & clean the magnets & diy flush it. I already know the fluid is brown but it doesn’t stink. I just recently got it back in my possession after a few years. Never towed a trailer or hard abuse. Just trying to keep it going. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Brown: flush it down
    Yellow: let it mellow.

    Welcome!

I'd drain/change the fluid now and then again in 10k-20k or so, and maybe again 20k after that, then every 40k-60k. Wouldn't try anything pressurized.

I lived in a dorm full of hippies that decided to only flush brown toilets, never yellow. Things got real yellow. Custodian came in after the first weekend of this, opened the bathroom door, turned around, walked out to his truck, and hasn't been seen since, lol.
