Jif peanut butter can make you very very sick. I had no idea it was recalled. My daughter, son, and I all have been poisoned by salmonella in Jif peanut butter today. Here is the FDA https://www.fda.gov/food/outbreaks-...vestigation-salmonella-peanut-butter-may-2022

Here are people saying that it was not reported properly.

    https://www.foodsafetynews.com/2022...ble-but-did-not-report-it-as-required-by-law/

Within 15 minutes of the three of us eating Jif for lunch I had actually had diarrhea in my pants on the way to the bathroom, my daughter was having diarrhea, and my son was screaming having diarrhea in his diaper.
Jifs friendly caring recording tells you to go to website where you can find the recalled lots.

TLDR: Jif peanut butter can poison your family and they don't care.

This recall was in May and Jiff did remove it from the shelves immediately and for a long time. New stock is on the shelves. There were countless warnings about the recalled Jiff for weeks but some were never used and stored in cabinets or never saw the warning. Little consolation to you and your kids. I hope they got through it okay.

Thank you. My co-workers and I were joking about this, this morning.

Yep I think I might make beef stroganoff for dinner. Let me log into to FDA website and check all the ingredients to see if they are poison.

It as far as I know is not again. Just the same stuff they put out up till the recall in May after knowing in the end of the year before it was testing positive. It was due to a leak in two roasters that left water from outside in the roaster.

Hey, you get coupons for more JIF though. So thats something.

I cant see me every buying anything from them again.

Since JM Smuckers owns Jif, I wonder how many uncrustables were made and shipped to children across the country.

I reported it to the FDA. They had no reported cases in Kentucky, but I really don't think alot of effort was made to let people know.

It hurt your kids. I'd feel the same. But any other product that has Jif in it was also recalled.

I knew about this when it came out. I did throw a full jar out. I just check what we have in the house now, all is good.
    Thanks for reminder.
You never know if a bad jar is still out there.

damn I'm halfway through a bottle of recently purchased Jif, no mud butt yet though thankfully

My wife gets organic peanut butter for our 3 year old but I buy Jif because I need me that refined added sugar. The au naturale stuff doesn't hit the same.

That's rough though, especially sucks to see your kid get sick particularly when they are that young. Hope they recover quick

I got salmonella a little over a year ago. Wouldnt wish it on anyone. Fever of 104 for three days.
Took two weeks to completely recover from.

Not sure if what I've gotten was Salmonella or something else, but food-borne illnesses are awful indeed. Worst one I got happened in Nicaragua 2 days before we flew back home...that flight was interesting to say the least.
