I’m going to put 38” super swampers on my 96 2.7 Tacoma what size gears would be best fit for on and off road, mainly on road?

I'd try the stock gears and see what you think.
My 2.7 could t get much slower.

Good luck. That frame contact is gonna be fun. So will the upper fender well contact. I'd worry about gears after you figure out your idea won't work. lol

6" DB with 10" BL. Why wouldn't it fit? It's for the mall anyways. Amateur

Absolute garbage handling, major under steer with them, everything in the truck shakes.. but they do look pretty cool.
If anyone was curious, hypothetically 0-60 in 40 seconds, but it honestly feels like it will flip over 50 mph.

I love how candid you are about it. Ive seen the cutting involved to clear 37s on a first gen and it does work. But theyre one of the largest sozes readily available from multiple brands. What kind of 38.5" dod you get?

I won't go big, I rather go home. I'll be better off in a DB & BL lift truck than be in that POS truck.

I went big on my 81 chevy ( 12" lift with 44" super swampers).

Lowered it down to a 6" lift with 35" and it was much more street friendly.
