Got a call this morning from the dealer that the TRD Pro I have allocated is in the build process. Has anyone else been recently notified of the same?

I'll be the first to admit that this whole process confuses me. Put my deposit down about a month ago. Originally was an 8-10 month estimate. Not sure how it goes from that to 3-ish months?? For reference, I'm looking at a 2023 TRD Pro, AT, MGM color, no adds.

There’s probably people canceling, I would be unless I had the cash and I was in need of a new vehicle, but for a DD I’d damn sure be looking to keep it efficient and modest. The seatbelt lights fixing to come on,,,, turbulence ahead.

Could just be lucky too,,, hey that’s cool!

No one at the dealership wants it, so you're the next man up. Used market isn't what it use to be.

Mine is supposed to arrive the last week of December.
I placed a deposit on 10/24 for an unspoken for Pro allocation. Had a build date of 10/27.
I wanted grey (still do) but settled for black.

I'd want my truck ad-free too. Who wants to sit through a crummy commercial before the engine will even start?

Oh wait, you said no Adds. :anonymous: Yeah I get it. A truck sized Ritalin prescription is hella expensive.

I was talking with the salesperson the other day about changing the allocation from gray to white (shows scratches less). During the conversation, I mentioned seriously considering cancelling and just starting my modest build on the 2021 I have. Was wondering if that comment has them blowing smoke now to try to save a sale. Like I said, the whole process seems odd to me.

They might have finally got the allocation you were looking for. They already had your deposit and were able to sell the truck with out any effort on their part.

I'm honestly wondering what upgrades there are between 21 and 23.

2018 saw the introduction of TSS, and 2020 saw carplay/SOS integration/power driver's seat. Aside from a whole host of minor changes from year to year, that's pretty much it.

If it were me I'd keep the 21.

That's the way I'm leaning too. Basically the same truck, and this one only has 19,000 miles on it.

Yeah, there are times when it's an advantage to trade when the only upgrade is odometer miles, and there are times when it's a huge disadvantage. It all depends on the dollars per mile you are buying.
