2023 TRD OffRoad inbound

On July 25th, I put $500 down on a TRD OffRoad SBDC Premium with Advanced Tech package and LED headlight/DRL. I'm 50 years old and this will be my first new truck. I was torn between Magnetic Grey and Celestial Silver so was willing to accept either color but ended up making MGM my first choice.

After over 4 months I got the call yesterday and accepted the vehicle. I was told that it will be 30-45 days to come in. I got a printout on the truck and have the VIN. To save a few bucks, I just ordered OEM splashguards, tailgate lock remote and bedlight kit from ToyotaPartsDeal and look forward to installing these items myself.

Black overlays: I'm still searching for which black overlays to purchase; there's quite a few on Ebay that appear to be OEM and even provide OEM part numbers for ~$30. That seems cheap when OEM is around $120. I reached out to a seller to get confirmation on OEM or not.

Also, since I have the VIN I tried to see if I can track the truck with the Toyota app but am unsuccessful. I know there's the MEGA thread on wait times where folks ask about the location of vehicle allocations but I don't want to be a burden to someone for something like that.

Thanks guys. My current Tacoma doesn't have the a rear locker so I was drawn to the OR early on in my research.

Something that I recently learned is that the 2023 Advanced Tech Package now has the 360 cam(Multi Terrain Monitor). MTM was something I wanted but didn't "have to have".

I checked out the TVD vinyl decals and they look nice but I'll have to think about if I want the chrome edges showing.

Mods:
I plan to keep things pretty close to stock to promote the utmost reliability and gas mileage. I do intend to get 2021 TRD 4-runner wheels and may go to the slightly larger than stock 265/70r17 (likely P-rated Wildpeek AT3W). I'll bevel the rear axle hub to clear these wheels. I may also do a mild 1-1.5" lift via 5100's and 1" rear block. I've also already purchased an OEM TRD Pro grill and garnish(found a deal on a garnish on TW classifieds). I'll also tint the front windows with 32 percent and add a bed cover(probably a MX4).
