Has anybody installed a 2016 Tacoma trailer connector onto a 2005-20015 already with tow package

    Bringing this one back from the dead as it isn't clear from the existing posts here.

    If one were to order the OEM 7/4 pin connector from a 3rd gen (P/N PT725-34140) would this plug right in to my original 2nd gen wiring?

    Similar to the other posters, I'm going to install a 7/4 connector behind my license plate and I'd prefer to use an OEM piece if it plugs right in. If not, then I'll just order an aftermarket one designed to plug into 2nd gen wiring.
